Toyota RAV4: Design and Features
Toyota has given the new Toyota RAV4 an imposing stance with ‘Hammerhead’ headlights and a Land Cruiser-like silhouette. The rugged styling is complemented by thick wheel arches that hint at its off-road capabilities. Depending on the market, it will come with 17-, 18-, or 19-inch alloy wheels, providing ample customization for buyers.

The biggest highlight inside the new RAV4 is its 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered by Toyota’s new Arene operating system. This next-gen software allows seamless updates for safety and entertainment features via Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, ensuring the SUV stays ahead in terms of technology.

Powerful Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Options
The new Toyota RAV4 offers petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid variants, catering to a wide range of driving preferences. The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version will be available in front-wheel-drive (268hp) and all-wheel-drive (304hp) variants, boasting a 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds. The 22.7kWh battery provides an impressive 100 km electric range, making it a strong contender in the EV transition.
Toyota RAV4 GR Sport Edition
Toyota has also introduced a GR Sport version of the RAV4 for those who crave a more dynamic driving experience. This model features 20-inch alloy wheels, stiffer suspension, and a wider track for better handling. Inside, the cabin comes with sport seats, aluminum pedals, and GR badging, reinforcing its performance-oriented appeal.

Will It Come to India?
Although Toyota has previously evaluated bringing the RAV4 to India, there is no official confirmation on its launch yet. The model was even spotted testing on Indian roads in 2021, hinting at Toyota’s interest in entering the premium SUV segment.
As Indian consumers increasingly seek eco-friendly and technologically advanced SUVs, the new RAV4—especially in its hybrid and PHEV forms—could be a game-changer if Toyota decides to introduce it here.
