The Ola S1 Z e-Scooter runs on two detachable 1.5kWh battery packs.
Ola Electric recently introduced the brand-new Ola S1 Z electric scooter lineup in India. This fresh range of e-scooters was revealed together with Ola’s latest Gig series of scooters, all featuring Ola’s innovative removable battery pack. With two options to choose from, the Ola S1 Z and S1 Z+, these electric scooters are available at introductory prices of Rs 59,999 and Rs 64,999 each (ex-showroom). You can now make reservations for the S1 Z series for just Rs 499.

Ola S1 Z and S1 Z+: Design, Features
The new S1 Z series has a fresh look compared to Ola’s current S1 lineup. It stands out with a sharp front apron and a headlamp placed horizontally at the edge. The Z+ model takes it up a notch, including added features such as cargo racks, a pillion sidestep, a visor, and a phone holder. The basic version has 12-inch wheels, whereas the S1 Z+ boasts 14-inch wheels. Both options feature an LCD display and a physical key.

Ola S1 Z and S1 Z+: Powertrain, Battery Pack
In both the S1 Z and S1 Z+, you can swap out the dual batteries easily. Each battery holds 1.5 kWh, providing a total range of 146 km. These batteries fuel a 2.9 kW hub motor that can produce up to 4 bhp. Ola states that the scooter can reach a maximum speed of 70 kmph.
The S1 Z accelerates from 0 to 20 kmph in just 1.8 seconds, and it can reach 40 kmph in 4.8 seconds. Ola mentions that the batteries, when placed in Ola’s PowerPod, can also work as an inverter for your home. This PowerPod can supply electricity for 3 hours, supporting 5 LED bulbs, 3 ceiling fans, 1 TV, 1 mobile charger, and 1 Wi-Fi router.
