At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Porsche showcased their rich automotive history with the launch of the limited-edition Porsche 911 Spirit 70 Convertible—a perfect blend of retro aesthetics and modern performance.
The Porsche 911 Spirit 70 pays tribute to the design language and spirit of the 1970s and early 1980s. This exclusive model, limited to just 1,500 units, is part of Porsche’s ongoing Heritage Design strategy—a project aimed at revisiting iconic eras in Porsche’s history through limited-production vehicles.

Innovative Powertrain Meets Heritage Design
Under the hood, the 911 Spirit 70 is powered by a cutting-edge hybrid drivetrain, combining a 3.6-liter boxer engine with an eTurbo and electric motor integrated into the PDK transmission. Together, this system delivers an impressive 534 bhp and 610 Nm of torque, showcasing Porsche’s latest hybrid technology while staying true to the brand’s performance legacy.
Striking Exterior Design
One of the most eye-catching features of the Spirit 70 is its unique Olive Neo paint—a deep green shade developed exclusively for this model. Complementing the paintwork are accents in Bronzite, a sophisticated grey-gold hue, which adorn the front and rear sections as well as the ‘Fuchs’-inspired Sport Classic wheels. Additional retro-inspired details include black silk-gloss stripes reminiscent of 1970s safety stickers and gold metallic badging that harks back to Porsche’s racing heritage.

A Retro-Themed Interior
Step inside the cabin, and you’ll be greeted by the Pasha fabric pattern in black and Olive Neo—a throwback to the checkerboard motifs popular in Porsche interiors during the late ’70s and ’80s. This design flows through the seat centers, door inserts, and glove compartment, while optional upgrades extend the pattern to the dashboard trim and seat backs. The instrumentation, featuring green digits, white pointers, and a classic rev-counter layout, emphasizes the vintage theme, and the Sport Chrono stopwatch follows the same retro styling.
