Skoda Kylaq Impressive ARAI Fuel Efficiency: A Game-Changer in the Compact SUV Segment
The Skoda Kylaq is the newest addition to the crowded sub-four-meter SUV market. Starting at Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), if you’re interested in the top Prestige automatic model, it will cost you Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s currently the most budget-friendly Skoda car you can get.
The Kylaq offers two powertrain options: a 1.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine that Skoda and VW use in India. This engine delivers 114 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque at its peak. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. However, buyers have the choice of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Skoda states that the Kylaq can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the manual version of the Kylaq delivers a claimed mileage of 19.68kmpl, while the automatic version offers a slightly lower mileage of 19.05kmpl.
