Skoda Kylaq Prices Revealed: Starting at Rs 7.89 Lakh, Going Up to Rs 14.40 Lakh

The Skoda Kylaq will come in four Variants. You can expect deliveries to start on January 27th.

Skoda has just announced the pricing details for their new compact SUV, the Skoda Kylaq. There are four versions to choose from: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. The starting price for the basic Classic model is Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). If you’re eyeing the top-of-the-line Prestige automatic variant, it will set you back Rs 14.40 lakh. You can start booking your Kylaq from 4 pm today, with deliveries scheduled to begin on January 27, 2025.

You have a choice of seven colors available for the Kylaq SUV: Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black, and Olive Gold. Skoda is offering a complimentary 3-year Standard Maintenance Package to the first 33,333 customers who book the SUV. Skoda India plans to manufacture 8,500 units of the SUV each month at its Chakan plant.

Skoda Kylaq SUV: Exterior Design

The Kylaq model from Skoda keeps in line with their recognizable design. You’ll notice the iconic butterfly grille, sleek in piano black. On either side, there are two sets of lights: narrow LED DRLs up top and projector LED headlights below. The front bumper stands out with a sizeable central air vent and a faux silver skid plate at the bottom. The car’s profile is sleek with clean lines and slightly squared wheel arches that hold the big 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels on the higher-end models.

Shifting the focus to the back, the design of this vehicle resembles the bigger Kushaq. However, it sports more straightforward square taillights linked by a black trim strip. The rear bumper is beefed up with plenty of cladding and a noticeable skid plate. The SUV comes in at 3,995mm long, 1,783mm wide, and stands at 1,619mm tall. It’s built on a 2,566mm wheelbase. With a ground clearance of 189mm, it provides 446 liters of boot space. You can expand this to 1,265 liters by folding down the rear split seats.

Skoda Kylaq SUV: Interior, Features

The inside of the Kylaq is loaded with cool features. You get a 10-inch touchscreen for your infotainment needs, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a unique two-spoke steering wheel, and stylish vertical side vents. Plus, there’s wireless charging, front seats that can be ventilated and adjusted six ways electrically, a big single-pane sunroof, and top-notch connected car tech. You’ll also enjoy leatherette seats, keyless entry, ambient lighting, a sweet six-speaker Canton sound system, a chilled glovebox, and cupholders.

The Skoda Kylaq comes packed with more than 25 safety features to keep you safe on the road. These include six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction and stability control, anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brake Distribution, three-point seatbelts, Brake Disc Wiping, Roll Over Protection, Motor Slip Regulation, Electronic Differential Lock, passenger airbag deactivation, Multi-Collision Braking, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Skoda Kylaq SUV: Powertrain

When it comes to the engine, the Kylaq is powered by the well-known VW Group 1.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine that Skoda and VW use in India. This engine delivers 114 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque at its peak. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. However, buyers have the choice of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Skoda states that the Kylaq can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.
