Suzuki Motorcycle India has broadened its range of large motorcycles by introducing the GSX-8R midsize sports bike. Recently showcased in the country at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Suzuki GSX-8R has now hit the Indian market. Priced at Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom), this model is now officially available for purchase. You can find this new motorcycle at all Suzuki Bike Zone stores nationwide.
Suzuki GSX-8R Features
Suzuki’s latest model, the GSX-8R, showcases a fresh design approach. It highlights a compact LED headlamp stacked vertically and surrounded by air intakes. The rearview mirrors are mounted on the cowl. Additionally, the bike boasts a sleek tail section that includes a compact LED light combo and a license plate light mounted on the fender. Suzuki provides the GSX-8R in three vibrant colors: Metallic Matte Sword Silver, Metallic Triton Blue, and Metallic Matte Black No.2.

When it comes to features, this bike offers a 5.0-inch color TFT display, a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, low RPM assist, various ride modes, and ABS. For braking, it is fitted with dual 310mm front discs and a single 240mm rear disc. Rolling on cast aluminum 17-inch wheels with Dunlop RoadSport 2 tires (120/70-section front, 180/55-section rear). It can hold up to 14 liters of fuel and weighs 205 kg (kerb weight).

Suzuki GSX-8R Engine
The Suzuki GSX-8R runs on a 776cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. This engine features a 270-degree crankshaft setup and includes Suzuki’s Cross Balancer Shaft, producing 81.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of maximum torque at 6,800rpm. It transfers power to the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE through a 6-speed gearbox paired with an assist-and-slipper clutch. Additionally, it comes equipped with a 2-in-1 exhaust system.
