Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT Middleweights Officially Revealed

Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT neo-retro motorcycles revealed, built on the GSX-8R platform with updated styling and hidden performance upgrades.

Suzuki Motor Corporation has introduced two new bikes to its street lineup — the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT. These bikes combine classic styles with modern engineering. They pay tribute to Suzuki’s iconic models from the 1960s and ’70s, while adding features that suit today’s riders. The new models bring a fresh look to familiar designs and are built for current riding needs.

Suzuki GSX-8T: Inspired by the iconic T500 “Titan”, this model boasts a retro matte-black tail section paired with a tank-highlighting color scheme. A 3D-raised “eight ball” emblem adds character, symbolizing bold moves.

Suzuki GSX-8TT: Features a racing-inspired headlight cowl and underbody design, paired with black forks, gray seat rails, and sharp decal accents that emphasize sportiness and heritage. The “TT” symbolizes “Timeless,” celebrating the rebirth of vintage Suzuki DNA.

Performance & Engineering

The bike is powered by a small 776cm³ parallel twin engine that is liquid-cooled. It’s based on the engine from the well-known GSX-8S/R series. It delivers 81.8 horsepower and 78 Nm of torque. The bike has a six-speed gear shift with quickshifter. It scores 23.8 km per liter according to WMTC standards. It also produces low CO₂ emissions, just 99 grams per kilometer.

The steel frame is high in rigidity, giving the bike strong stability and a smooth ride. A lightweight aluminum swingarm helps improve handling and comfort. The front suspension features KYB USD forks, while the rear has a single monoshock. Both are paired with Nissin brakes and dual-channel ABS for safety. The tires are Dunlop RoadSport 2 mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels. The GSX-8T weighs 201 kg, and the GSX-8TT tips the scales at 203 kg.

Features And Technology

Both bikes come equipped with Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S), which includes several handy features. Ride-by-Wire offers precise throttle control for smoother rides. The Bi-Directional Quick Shift allows gear changes without using the clutch. The SDMS (Drive Mode Selector) provides three different power modes to match your riding style.

Traction Control has three settings plus an off option. Easy Start and Low RPM Assist make starting the bike quick and easy. The bikes also use a lithium-ion battery from ELIIY Power, known for reliable performance even in cold weather, giving riders confidence all year.

Although Suzuki has yet to confirm Indian availability, with the GSX-8R and V-Strom 800DE already on sale, the 8T twins could be strong contenders in the premium segment. Their distinct neo-retro appeal aligns well with growing Indian interest in vintage-modern crossovers.
