Tata Motors introduces a lifetime battery warranty for the Tata Curvv EV & Nexon EV 45, boosting EV ownership confidence.
In a landmark move aimed at redefining electric vehicle (EV) ownership, Tata Motors has announced a lifetime battery warranty for its Tata Curvv EV coupe-SUV and the Nexon EV 45 kWh. This announcement comes hot on the heels of a similar initiative for the Harrier EV, further demonstrating Tata’s commitment to democratizing premium EV technology in India.

What’s Covered in Lifetime Battery Warranty
The Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh now come with a Lifetime High Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty. This coverage is valid only for privately registered vehicles. It does not apply to the Nexon EV MR model with a 30 kWh battery. The term “lifetime” here means up to 15 years, which is the same as the typical vehicle registration period in India.
Tata Motors is extending this warranty to not just new buyers but also existing Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 owners. Additionally, Tata is offering up to Rs 50,000 in benefits for loyal EV customers opting to upgrade or purchase these models.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, emphasized that this move is designed to promote “a truly carefree, future-ready ownership journey.” It marks a shift towards removing common ownership barriers and instilling long-term confidence among consumers considering EVs.
