Tata Curvv EV SUV Coupe Launched at Rs. 17.49 Lakh in India

Tata Curvv EV has two battery choices: 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The range they are certified for is up to 502 km and 585 km, respectively.

Tata Motors just revealed the electric version of the much-anticipated coupe SUV – the Tata Curvv EV. The price starts from Rs. 17.49 lakh to Rs. 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). They launched the electric car alongside the internal combustion engine (ICE) model of the Coupe SUV. The ICE model will be available in the market on September 2, 2024.

Tata Curvv EV Range and Powertrain

The Tata Curvv EV comes in 5 different versions with two battery choices – 55kWh and 45kWh. If you go for the 55kWh battery pack, you can drive up to 585km. On the other hand, the 45kWh battery pack allows you to travel around 502km.

The 55kWh models come with a 167hp electric motor in the front, and the 45kWh ones have a 150hp motor, both producing 215Nm of torque. The Curvv EV 55 can accelerate from 0-100kph in about 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 160kph, while the Curvv EV 45 model takes around 9 seconds to go from 0-100kph. Tata claims the battery can be charged for up to 150km in just 15 minutes, or reach 10-80 percent charge in 40 minutes using a 70kW charger.

The iRA app includes a built-in charge point, and the vehicle offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging features. Tata boasts a balanced 50:50 weight distribution from front to rear, a 190mm ground clearance, and a 450mm water wading depth for the Curvv EV.

The ICE model stands out in a chic burgundy color, whereas the EV showcases a modern blend of empowering grey and white shades. The dashboard boasts a sleek and uncomplicated layout. Standout elements comprise a spacious 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. Below this screen, you’ll find a touch-based climate control panel alongside distinctive trapezoidal AC vents. Additionally, it features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster enhanced with navigation by Harman and a top-notch 320w 9-speaker JBL music system.

You can control the panoramic sunroof with just your voice. You also get a wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, and a sleek 4-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with a lit-up logo. The front seats are ventilated and can be adjusted in six ways. You can recline the rear seat in two steps and enjoy a cooled glove box. There are also 45W Type-C charging ports in the front and rear. The car is equipped with connected car technology for your convenience. The Curvv EV comes with the Arcade. EV app suite, offering over 20 handy applications.

The Curvv EV is packed with safety features including six airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all occupants, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, hill-start and descent assist for challenging terrains, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control for a more comfortable drive, auto-dimming IRVMs for improved visibility, a driver drowsiness alert system to help you stay alert, and a blind spot monitor to boost your awareness., and Level 2 ADAS features for added safety. Additionally, there’s a sound alert that kicks in at speeds up to 20kph to warn pedestrians around you.

The SUV Coupe comes with a stylish front bumper featuring vertical slats, LED DRLs that greet and bid farewell, and a sleek closed grille. It also sports smooth flush door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels designed for aerodynamics, a silhouette reminiscent of a coupe, and LED taillights with an eye-catching LED light bar. Tata Motors’ debut mass-market SUV Coupe offers a choice of five colors: Pristine White, Flame Red, Empowered White, Pure Grey, and Virtual Sunrise. The electric vehicle has a big 500-liter trunk and a smaller 11.6-liter front trunk, just like the Punch EV.
