In a bold stride toward sustainable mobility, Tata Motors has announced a phenomenal achievement—over 10,000 bookings for the newly launched Harrier EV within just 24 hours of opening reservations. This surge underscores India’s rapidly growing appetite for advanced electric SUVs and places the Harrier EV in the spotlight as one of the most anticipated EV launches of the year.
The Harrier EV is now in production at Tata’s Pune facility, with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 21.49 lakh and going up to Rs 29.74 lakh (charger prices not included). With its advanced engineering and consumer-forward pricing, Tata Motors is positioning the Harrier EV as a game-changer in India’s electric SUV segment.

Tata Harrier EV: Design & Features
The Harrier EV keeps the same shape as its gas engine version but adds new design features for better efficiency. It has a closed grille to improve aerodynamics. The front bumper is redesigned with vertical satin silver slats to help cool the motor. The headlights are split and connected by daytime running lights. It now features 18-inch alloy wheels with a more aerodynamic look.
Inside, Tata has made big improvements. It now features a 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen for the infotainment system. The system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for easy phone connection, and JBL Black speakers with Dolby Atmos.

There is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that can display maps. A new rotary dial lets you choose from six terrain modes. These include Normal, Sand, Mud Ruts, Snow/Grass, Rock Crawl, and Custom. The sound system features JBL Black speakers with Dolby Atmos, delivering rich, immersive audio.
The Level 2 ADAS includes 360-degree cameras and a transparent bonnet view, making driving easier and safer. Remote parking allows you to park the car even when you’re outside. Built-in dash cams record both front and rear views, adding extra security. For off-road adventures, it has cruise control and six terrain modes, available in QWD versions.

Powertrain Options & Performance Metrics
The Harrier EV offers both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. The rear-wheel-drive version has a 235 bhp electric motor on the back axle. It can be paired with either a 65 kWh or 75 kWh battery. The all-wheel-drive model adds a second motor in the front, rated at 156 bhp.
This setup pushes total power to over 300 bhp and provides a peak torque of 504 Nm. Tata says the Harrier EV QWD can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. The claimed driving range varies: 538 km with the 65 kWh RWD, 627 km with the 75 kWh RWD, and 622 km with the 75 kWh QWD.
