Under the hood, the Harrier is fitted with Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine, which originally debuted on the 2025 Tata Sierra. In the Harrier, this TGDI unit is tuned to deliver 170 hp of power and 280 Nm of torque, slightly more than in its Sierra iteration to suit the larger SUV’s dynamics better. Power is sent to the front wheels via either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a smooth 6-speed automatic, giving buyers flexibility in driveline choice.

Visually, the Tata Harrier petrol retains the familiar SUV silhouette that has become synonymous with Tata’s design language, with no major exterior changes to differentiate it from the diesel models. A new Crimson Nitro colour is exclusive to higher trims, providing a unique visual touch for discerning buyers.
Inside, the Harrier petrol brings several enhancements aimed at improving comfort and convenience. For 2026, Tata has introduced larger 14.53-inch touchscreen infotainment, now with QLED display and Dolby Atmos sound, modernising the cabin experience. Practical additions such as front and rear camera washers and memory function outside rear-view mirrors that tilt downwards in reverse gear elevate everyday usability.
