Introduced over a decade ago, the Fortuner quickly became a preferred choice for Indian SUV enthusiasts. Toyota continually enhanced the model, rolling out facelifts and upgraded variants, leading to the launch of the second-generation in 2016. The Fortuner Legender further refined the lineup in 2021, offering a more premium appeal.

The Fortuner is available in two powertrain options:2.8-litre diesel engine producing 201 bhp and 420 Nm of torque (500 Nm for AT variants). And 2.7-litre petrol engine delivering 164 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual (MT) or a 6-speed automatic (AT), with the diesel variants offering both, while the petrol model is only available with AT.

Additionally, the Fortuner features three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. While the standard model is a 4×2, the 4×4 variants come with downhill assist control and have high and low-range driving capabilities.

Meanwhile, the Legender variant is available between Rs 44.11 lakh and Rs 48.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
