Toyota has redefined power and innovation with the global debut of the Land Cruiser LC300 Hybrid, its most potent iteration yet. As India’s premium SUV market heats up, this electrified beast signals what’s next in sustainable luxury.

Breaking tradition, Toyota equips the legendary LC300 with a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine paired with an electric motor. This hybrid setup churns out a massive 457 bhp and 790 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Land Cruiser globally—outpacing the current diesel and non-hybrid petrol variants.

Unlike conventional plug-in hybrids, this self-charging model utilizes regenerative braking and engine synergy, eliminating the need for external charging. With power distributed to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission, the new hybrid system promises superior throttle response and optimized efficiency, even on the roughest terrains.

Land Cruiser Hybrid Stylish Upgrades
Toyota has made small design updates to the outside of the vehicle. The lower front bumper now has a sleeker look, and the intake system for the VXR trim has been redesigned. A badge reading “457 TT” is placed on the sides, while an HEV emblem appears on the tailgate to set it apart from gas-powered models. The front bumper has been revised with bold black accents, giving the vehicle a more aggressive overall look.

The HEV features a bold badge that clearly shows its hybrid status. Inside, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster displays specialized graphics for hybrid systems. The cabin feels luxurious and practical, with a 220V AC power outlet in the boot. This outlet is ideal for travelers and outdoor explorers in India who need a reliable power source while on the move.

India in Focus: What’s Next?
The Land Cruiser LC300 Hybrid was first shown in the Middle East., and It is set to launch in Australia by 2026. In India, it’s expected to join the existing lineup with a regular diesel version. The current India model has a 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine making 304 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 2.31 crore.
