TVS Jupiter 125 CNG Debut at Bharat Mobility Global Expo

TVS Jupiter 125 CNG Unveiled with 1.4 kg CNG Tank Under the Seat

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 witnessed the unveiling of a groundbreaking innovation in the scooter market—the TVS Jupiter 125 CNG. If this concept scooter goes into production, it will be the world’s first CNG-powered scooter, marking a significant milestone in the automotive industry.

TVS Jupiter 125 CNG Design and Key Features

Apart from the CNG system, the rest of the TVS Jupiter 125 CNG scooter remains the same as the petrol-powered Jupiter 125. This includes the design, ergonomics, features, wheels, and brakes.

One of the most notable features of the Jupiter 125 CNG is its 1.4 kg CNG tank, located underneath the seat. Additionally, the scooter has a 2-litre petrol tank mounted on the floorboard, with the filler nozzle located in the front apron area, similar to the Jupiter 125 ICE scooter. However, the placement of these tanks means that the scooter lacks the under-seat storage space found in the standard Jupiter 125, which offers 33 liters of storage.

TVS Jupiter 125 CNG Performance and Mileage

The Jupiter 125 CNG is powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 7.1 bhp at 6,000rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. While these figures are slightly lower than the standard Jupiter 125, which offers nearly 1 bhp and 1 Nm more, the CNG variant compensates with impressive fuel efficiency. TVS claims a mileage of 84 km/kg for the Jupiter 125 CNG, with a total range of 226 km. The scooter can reach top speeds of up to 80 kmph.
