Volkswagen ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE – a limited-edition electric vehicle blending 1990s nostalgia with modern EV performance.
Volkswagen has officially launched the ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE, a limited-edition electric vehicle that pays homage to the legendary Golf II Fire and Ice from the 1990s. Developed in collaboration with luxury sportswear brand BOGNER FIRE+ICE, this electrifying model blends nostalgic design with cutting-edge performance, making it a standout in the premium EV segment.

ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE: Powertrain & Performance
The ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE is available in two powerful configurations, The standard variant produces 210 kW (286 PS) of power and 545 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h. Its 79 kWh battery offers a range of up to 591 km according to WLTP standards.
The performance version boosts power to 240 kW (326 PS), maintaining the same torque of 545 Nm. It completes 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and also hits a top speed of 200 km/h. With the same 79 kWh battery, this model delivers a range of up to 591 km on a full charge.
Charging can hit 185 kW with DC fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 10% to 80% in around 26 minutes. The chassis features a sports DCC adaptive suspension as standard on the 240 kW version and offers it as an option for the 210 kW model.

Volkswagen ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE: Design & Interior
Volkswagen’s homage to the original Fire and Ice edition is clear in the design of the ID.3 GTX. Its exterior features include Ultra Violet Metallic paint, a flaming red anodized roof frame strip, and 20-inch Locarno wheels with red GTX center caps. Tinted LED tail lights and FIRE+ICE light projections add to its bold look.
Inside the car, there are two main accent colors. The driver’s side features “On Fire Red,” while the passenger side is finished in “Keep Cool Blue.” The seats are crafted with quilted patterns inspired by down jackets and feature FIRE+ICE logos. Custom stitching adds detail to the steering wheel, dashboard, and floor mats, giving the cabin a unique look.
Volkswagen offers three packages that include high-end features. The Interior Plus package has electric massage sport seats, an AR Head-Up Display, and Harman Kardon sound. The Convenience package includes dual-zone Climatronic airflow and a navigation system. The Assistance package offers Park Assist Plus, a rearview camera, Keyless Access, and adaptive cruise control with distance settings.

The BOGNER Collaboration
This edition marks a revival of Volkswagen’s partnership with BOGNER, echoing the success of the original Golf II Fire and Ice. Daniel Hiendlmeier, BOGNER’s Chief Brand Officer, calls it “a strong statement for the relevance of connecting fashion and mobility.”
Only 1,990 units will be produced globally, symbolizing the debut year of the original Golf Fire and Ice. Prices in Germany start at €56,020 (Approximately 56 lakhs), with availability expected to generate high demand among collectors and EV enthusiasts alike.
