Yamaha India launches the Yamaha FZ-Rave at Rs 1.17 lakh in India — fresh styling, same trusted 149cc motor and single-channel ABS.
Yamaha has expanded its popular FZ family with the new FZ-Rave, priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Yamaha FZ-Rave brings a sharper, more aggressive look to the 150cc segment while retaining the mechanical package that has made the FZ range a favourite among commuters and city riders.

Under the skin the FZ-Rave uses the same 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 12.4hp and 13.3Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. Core dimensions and practicality remain unchanged: a 136kg kerb weight, a 13-litre fuel tank, a 790mm seat height and 165mm ground clearance.

What sets the Rave apart is its styling. Yamaha fits an edgy LED headlight and offers the model with red-painted wheels for a sportier stance. The new bike is available in two colour options — black and matte green — giving buyers a clear visual choice within the FZ line-up. Equipment mirrors other FZ models: a compact LCD instrument cluster, all-LED lighting and single-channel ABS come as standard.

Positioned as the third most affordable FZ in India, the FZ-Rave slots neatly between Yamaha’s other 150/160cc commuters and rivals from other brands. Yamaha’s pricing places it alongside competitors such as the Honda Unicorn and Bajaj Pulsar 150, both of which sit in a similar price band, making the Rave an attractive option for buyers seeking fresh styling without a premium price tag.
