Mahindra Thar Roxx AX7 L 4WD Diesel Automatic with Anand Mahindra’s Signature Goes Up for Auction
Mahindra, a trusted name in the local car industry, has introduced a new 5-door SUV called the Thar Roxx, following the popular 3-door Thar model. Due to the immense anticipation from customers, the company will begin accepting bookings for this vehicle on October 3, with deliveries set to kick off around the time of the Dussehra festival. Notably, the initial unit of this SUV was recently auctioned off at a significantly high price.
The first unit of the Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV was put up for auction in a special auction held on September 15 and 16. The vehicle, bearing the unique serial number ‘VIN 0001’, was worth Rs. It was sold for Rs 1.31 crore. Mahindra will donate the proceeds from the auction to four charities chosen by the winners.
In 2020, the first unit of the 3-door model of the Mahindra Thar was sold through an auction. Akash Minda, a resident of Delhi, paid Rs. Rs 1.11 crore. The money raised through this auction was donated to organizations fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a great example of social thinking.

What is special about VIN 0001 Mahindra Thar Roxx?
The high-end AX7L diesel automatic 4WD model of the Mahindra Thar Roxx is about to be auctioned. This exclusive vehicle is part of the ‘VIN 0001’ series and stands out with Anand Mahindra’s signature. While Mahindra hasn’t disclosed the SUV’s color for the auction, they do offer buyers the freedom to select their preferred color.
The luxurious 5-door Thar runs on a strong 2.2-liter diesel engine that gives you 172bhp of power and 370Nm of torque. It is equipped with four wheels and pairs with a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission. Inside, you’ll find a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and driver’s display, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, enjoy the open skies with the panoramic sunroof.
