2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S launched in India at Rs 8.23 Lakh with Torque Boost

2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S launched in India at ₹8.23 lakh with regained torque, smaller disc brakes, and a new Metallic Carbon Gray shade.

Kawasaki has officially introduced the 2027 Vulcan S in India, priced at ₹8.23 lakh (ex‑showroom). The cruiser receives subtle yet meaningful updates over the outgoing 2026 model, ensuring enthusiasts get a refined riding experience without losing the Vulcan’s signature character.

The biggest mechanical change comes from the 649cc parallel‑twin engine, which regains the 1.4Nm torque lost in the 2026 update. The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S now delivers 62.4Nm of torque, restoring performance levels to what riders enjoyed in the 2024 version. Power output remains unchanged at 61hp, with the same rev range.

Braking hardware has been revised, with disc rotors downsized to 272mm at the front and 216mm at the rear, compared to the larger units on the previous model. Suspension setup continues unchanged, offering a 705mm seat height and 130mm ground clearance, while kerb weight stays at 235kg.

Visually, the 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S now comes in a Metallic Carbon Gray finish with subtle green highlights, replacing the earlier Metallic Flat Spark Black. This cosmetic refresh adds a modern edge while keeping Kawasaki’s touring DNA intact. Deliveries are scheduled to begin mid‑September 2026
