The Suzuki e Vitara has two battery choices: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. These options can give you a driving distance of up to 550 km.
After introducing the Maruti eVX concept, Suzuki has now showcased its actual production model—the Suzuki e Vitara—in Milan, Italy. Suzuki will roll out this car globally, manufactured at its Gujarat plant. Notably, 50% of these cars will be shipped to Japan and Europe. The e-Vitara will hit the Indian market first in March 2025, premiering at the Bharat Mobility Show in New Delhi in January 2025. Subsequently, it will be launched in Europe around June 2025.
Suzuki e Vitara: Design, Dimensions
The e Vitara resembles the eVX concept with its square wheel arches, raised haunches, sloping roof, and angular headlights featuring Y-shaped LED light guides. However, there are some differences in the production model. At the front, the e Vitara has a new bumper with distinct cuts and creases, along with lower vents that direct air to cool the running gear efficiently. The fog lamps are positioned at the bottom of the bumper.

The e Vitara uses cladding to create a rugged appearance. It incorporates a lot of plastic on the bumpers, doors, side sills, and wheel arches. In terms of design, the concept has replaced the flush door handles with conventional pull-style handles on the front doors, while the rear now sports pillar-mounted handles.

At the back, the design of the tail lamps has remained the same, keeping the three-bar lighting style. There are some minor changes to the bumper, and the rear windshield now has a wiper in the middle and a spoiler that wraps around. To complete the look, you can choose between 18 or 19-inch wheels with 225/55-section tires.
The SUV measures 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,635mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700mm. The manufacturer indicates that the vehicle provides a minimum ground clearance of 180mm, while its weight varies from 1,702 kg to 1,899 kg, depending on the model you choose.

Suzuki e Vitara: Interior, Features
The design inside the Suzuki e Vitara closely resembles the concept we saw in drawings late last year. At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find two displays in the same frame. A smooth material divides the upper and lower sections of the dashboard. In the middle, there’s a row of buttons next to the air vents. Below that, you’ll see a round gear shifter and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. The top section of the glossy black floating center console includes a storage compartment underneath that comes with USB ports.

Suzuki e Vitara: Battery, Powertrain
Suzuki has shared a lot of information about the engine of the upcoming e Vitara model. When you buy the car, you will have the choice between two lithium-ion phosphate battery sizes: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The larger battery option also comes with the possibility of a four-wheel drive system. The base model will have a front-wheel drive with a 142 bhp and 189 Nm motor placed in the front axle. The Higher versions come with a stronger 172bhp engine. Additionally, the all-wheel-drive editions have an extra 64bhp electric motor at the back, giving you a combined power of 181bhp and 300Nm of torque.

The Suzuki e Vitara with AWD has the AllGrip-e system, including a Trail mode. When in Trail mode, the vehicle uses brakes on wheels that slip and send power to the other wheels, acting like a limited-slip differential. Even though Suzuki hasn’t announced an exact range, it was suggested that the 61kWh battery could provide over 500 km based on worldwide tests.
