Performance & Battery Range

At the heart of the GT XX are three axial flux motors—two at the rear and one upfront—developed with British motor specialist YASA. These motors deliver a jaw-dropping 1360hp, pushing the car to a top speed exceeding 360kph. Though the GT XX is engineered for all-wheel drive, it operates primarily in rear-wheel mode, switching to full traction when performance or efficiency demands it.

This setup not only ensures seamless power delivery but also addresses the typical pitfalls of high-performance EVs with enhanced energy density and repeatability—a leap forward for electric propulsion.

Operating on an advanced 800V architecture, the GT XX concept features a 114kWh NMC battery with direct cell cooling—technology influenced by Formula 1 and the AMG One hypercar. Mercedes claims the battery can be charged to deliver 400km of range in just five minutes, thanks to its capacity for 850kW DC fast charging.

Innovative materials—such as aluminum cell casings and bespoke coolant channels—enable rapid heat dissipation and ensure long-lasting, high-output performance, making this EV as practical as it is powerful.

Mercedes-AMG GT XX: Design & Interiors

Inspired by the iconic C111 concept and modern Vision AMG, the GT XX’s design merges a fastback roofline with muscular proportions. The signature Panamericana grille now features LED light bands and integrated speaker-capable headlamp housings that mimic acceleration sounds.

One eye-catching feature is the ‘MBUX Fluid Light Paint’ along the side sills—illuminated paint that not only glows in the dark but also communicates the car’s charging status. At the rear, a 700-LED Fluid Light Panel offers customizable messages and 3D animations, creating an unmistakably futuristic presence.

Inside, the GT XX draws on both GT3 track car and luxury sedan DNA. The cabin is outfitted with experimental materials like bio-silk and recycled tyres, while the structural elements remain exposed to reduce weight and enhance racing aesthetics. Anchoring the tech-forward layout are dual floating displays and a yoke-style steering wheel, optimized with AMG’s latest MB.OS interface.
