Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter available in Go and Plus variants, it offers 2.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh battery options, along with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model.

Hero MotoCorp’s electric division, Vida, has launched the Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter in India. This move expands their presence in the growing electric vehicle market. The scooter starts at Rs 99,490, making it a strong contender against top bikes like the Ola S1, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube.

The Vida VX2 comes in two trims—Go and Plus—with options to purchase via a traditional model or through the brand’s innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription.This flexible pricing allows first-time EV buyers to ease into the ecosystem without a heavy upfront investment.

Hero Vida VX2: Design & Features

The VX2 takes inspiration from the Vida Z’s shape but has a simple, city-friendly look with LED lights that stand out. The Plus version comes with a 4.3-inch TFT screen, while the Go model has a 4.3-inch LCD display. Both models allow smartphone connection for easy turn-by-turn directions.

There are different ride modes: Eco and Ride for the Go; Eco, Ride, and Sport for the Plus. The VX2 features a single-piece, stepped seat that’s more comfortable than the split seat used in the V2 series.

Powertrain & Performance

The VX2 is powered by a direct-drive permanent magnet motor that produces 8.04 bhp. Its removable battery packs offer practical real-world usability, with two variants available.

The Go Variant features a 2.2 kWh battery, providing an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 92 km, a top speed of 70 kmph, and 0-40 kmph acceleration in 4.2 seconds, along with 33.2 liters of storage.

The Plus Variant comes with dual 3.4 kWh batteries (6.8 kWh combined), offering an extended IDC range of 142 km, a higher top speed of 80 kmph, quicker 0-40 kmph acceleration in 3.1 seconds, and 27.2 liters of storage.
