Triumph launches Alpine and Desert special editions for Triumph Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 with new paint, factory-fit protection and touring-focused kit.
Triumph has introduced two new terrain-themed special editions — Alpine and Desert — for the Triumph Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200, giving buyers factory-fitted styling and purpose-driven equipment that reduce the need for aftermarket upgrades. These editions are offered as upgraded versions of the GT Pro and Rally Pro platforms and aim to deliver ready-to-ride capability for both long-distance touring and serious off-road use.

The Alpine edition leans toward high-altitude, touring-friendly specification with Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black paint and Aegean Blue highlights, plus luggage-friendly protection and a more road-biased suspension setup. By contrast, the Desert edition uses Urban Grey with Baja Orange accents and adds rugged, rally-style protection and longer-travel suspension to better handle rough, off-road terrain. Both editions also come with themed graphics that visually distinguish them from standard Tigers.

Mechanically, Triumph has retained the proven T-plane triple engines. The Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert continue with the 888cc triple making roughly 106.5 hp and about 90 Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Tiger 1200 Alpine and Desert keep the 1,160cc T-plane triple producing around 147 hp and 129 Nm, while preserving the 1200’s semi-active Showa suspension and shaft-drive layout. Triumph’s focus for these launches is equipment and rider aids rather than powertrain changes.

Factory-fitted upgrades aim to save owners time and money. Highlights across the range include a standard Akrapovic silencer, engine and tank protection bars tailored to each edition, and upgraded fork hardware — Marzocchi items with about 180 mm travel on the Alpine 900 and longer-travel, fully adjustable Showa forks for the Desert 900. On the Tiger 1200, the new editions add rider conveniences such as blind-spot detection and heated seats (on larger tank models), making the 1200 variants better equipped for long-distance rides.
Triumph has started sales in the UK and says the Alpine and Desert editions will be offered globally from January 2026, with an expected arrival in India around mid-2026. Positioning-wise, these special editions sit above the standard GT Pro and Rally Pro models — they are themed, factory-equipped takes on those trims rather than entirely new model lines.
