New-Gen Kia Telluride Revealed: Sharper Styling, Bigger Cabin

Kia unveils the second-generation Kia Telluride with sharper design, more interior space and an off-road X-Pro trim — global debut at LA Auto Show 2025.

Kia has lifted the covers on the all-new, second-generation Kia Telluride ahead of its global debut at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show. The large SUV takes a decisive step away from the outgoing model’s rounded look, adopting a more angular, upright stance that promises greater presence on the road and more usable interior space.

The exterior adopts vertical LED lighting up front and a broad, squared grille that underscore the Telluride’s new geometric design language. From the side, the silhouette appears boxier with straight character lines, squared wheel arches and large, geometric alloy wheels. At the rear, tall vertical tail lamps sit close to the edges and a low, spelt-out Telluride badge gives the tailgate a cleaner look.

Inside, Kia has moved to a clean, horizontal dashboard layout. A wide touchscreen integrates with the digital instrument cluster under a single hood, and the centre console features a recessed cupholder area, physical switches for climate and drive modes, plus twin wireless charging pads on a flat storage deck. The cabin changes aim to improve ergonomics and storage while emphasising a premium, tech-forward feel.

Kia will offer an adventurous X-Pro trim that dresses the Telluride in blacked-out exterior elements and adds functional hardware for tougher conditions. The X-Pro gets mesh grille accents, squared lower bumper cladding, all-terrain tyres, larger ground clearance listed at 231 mm, and recovery hooks front and rear — a clear nod to buyers seeking SUV updates with real off-road capability.

Kia has not yet published full technical specifications or exact dimensions. However, the new Telluride rides on the same underpinnings as the Hyundai Palisade, so expect similar powertrain choices, likely including a 2.5-litre hybrid and the familiar 3.5-litre V6. Exact engine outputs, gearbox options and local availability — including potential car price in India — will be confirmed closer to the Los Angeles Auto Show and subsequent market launches.
