Tata Sierra Launched with modern tech and multiple powertrains — Rs 11.49 lakh with bookings from Dec 16 and deliveries from Jan 15, 2026.
Tata Motors has officially brought back the Tata Sierra nameplate to India, launching the new-generation Sierra with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 11.49 lakh. The model arrives in four main variants, offers three powertrain choices and six exterior colours. Bookings open from December 16, while deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 15, 2026.

Under the hood, the Sierra offers a broad choice to suit different buyer needs. The range-topping option is a 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol producing 158 bhp and 255 Nm and is paired exclusively with a six-speed automatic. There’s also a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol making 105 bhp and 145 Nm, available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. Diesel buyers get Tata’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit producing 116 bhp and 260 Nm, which can be paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. Tata has confirmed that an all-wheel-drive version will be offered in the future.

The Sierra’s cabin takes clear inspiration from Tata’s recent design language while introducing distinctive Sierra touches. The dashboard adopts a triple-screen layout and includes a 12-speaker JBL sound system with a sound bar and a head-up display. Practical luxuries include dual-zone climate control, connected-car tech, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera and ventilated, powered front seats. Safety is comprehensive with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and ISOFIX mounts across the line-up. The Sierra is built on a roughly 4.6-metre footprint with a 2.7-metre wheelbase, promising roomy packaging.

On the outside, Tata has reinterpreted the Sierra’s boxy silhouette for modern tastes. Key design elements include a flat Alpine-style glass roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, a full LED lighting setup, a rear spoiler and an updated Tata signature grille. Colour and interior options aim to let buyers personalise the Sierra while retaining the rugged, retro-inspired character that made the original Sierra memorable.
