At its heart sits the 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, a compact yet ferocious V4 powerplant directly inspired by Ducati’s World Superbike and MotoGP efforts. In standard trim, this engine churns out around 218 hp at 15,500 rpm with a redline extending to 16,500 rpm, delivering exhilarating performance that few road bikes can match. With Ducati’s optional racing exhaust and performance oil, peak output can surge beyond 235 hp, pushing the Panigale V4 R into hyperbike territory.

The chassis is built around a lightweight aluminium frame and a hollow symmetrical swingarm, optimised for track use, while fully adjustable Öhlins suspension handles damping duties both front and rear. Braking performance is provided by premium Brembo monobloc calipers, ensuring strong and predictable stopping power whether on the road or the racetrack.

On the electronics front, the Ducati Panigale V4 R boasts a comprehensive suite of rider aids managed through a new 6.9-inch full-TFT display. Features such as cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, quick shift up/down, power launch and engine brake control are all integrated into Ducati’s advanced 6-axis IMU system. A dedicated Grip Meter display provides real-time feedback on tyre grip levels, a feature inspired by Ducati’s racing telemetry.

One of the standout technical touches is the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG), which places neutral below first gear—mirroring race-bike layouts and reducing unwanted neutral selections during aggressive downshifts. This contributes to seamless gear changes and added precision for riders pushing the bike close to its limits.
