Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel: Now Compatible with E100 Ethanol, Features a New Engine Design

The automotive industry is witnessing a significant shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly solutions. One of the latest innovations in this domain is the Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel, which was recently unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This new variant of the popular Creta model is designed to run on E100 ethanol, marking a significant step towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting the use of renewable energy sources.

Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel: Design and Dimensions

In terms of design, the Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel retains the same dimensions as the standard Creta. It measures 4,330 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. The vehicle features a monocoque chassis with a McPherson strut and coil springs at the front, and a couple torsion beam axle at the rear. The braking system includes discs at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable stopping power. The tyre size is 215/60 R17, with a spare wheel measuring 205/65 R16.

Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel: Engine and Performance

The Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is also found in models like the Hyundai i20, Venue, and Kia Sonet. This engine produces a maximum power output of 118 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 172 Nm at 1,500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, a combination that has not been seen in any other Hyundai cars currently available in India. The engine has been modified to run on a range of fuel types, from E0 to E100 petrol or ethanol.

Environmental Impact and Future Prospects

The introduction of the Hyundai Creta Flex Fuel is a significant move towards reducing the environmental impact of vehicles.
