Honda Civic Type R Ultimate Edition Debuts in Europe with Carbon-Fiber Wing and Exclusive Red Accents.
Honda is bidding farewell to the Civic Type R in the UK and European markets with a limited-run Honda Civic Type R Ultimate Edition. This move comes as the model fails to meet stricter Euro 7 emission regulations set to be enforced in 2026. With only 40 units available, the Ultimate Edition marks the end of an era for the legendary performance hatchback.

Exterior Design and Interior
Before the Civic Type R bids its final goodbye, Honda is offering a special Ultimate Edition to commemorate its legacy. The vehicle boasts a Championship White exterior, accented by bold red stripes and a black roof—a striking aesthetic that aligns with its performance-driven identity.
This special model adds extra exclusivity with several features. It has a carbon fiber rear wing to improve aerodynamics. Inside, there are carbon fiber upgrades, including door sill trims. The car comes with red floor mats that have a metal Type R badge, highlighting its sporty style. Built-in door projectors display a projected Type R logo. A limited-edition gift box includes a numbered badge, a carbon key ring, and a protective car cover.

Engine & Performance
Though aesthetics takes center stage in this farewell edition, performance remains unchanged. The Civic Type R Ultimate Edition retains its turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, Front-Wheel Drive System generating an impressive 324 horsepower and 420 Nm Torque. The car maintains its six-speed manual transmission, allowing for an exhilarating 0- 100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds.

Despite rising enthusiasm for performance hatchbacks in India, Honda has officially denied plans to introduce the Civic Type R to the Indian market. Reports speculated that it could rival the Volkswagen Golf GTI, but Honda appears focused on its existing lineup featuring the City, Amaze, and Elevate. Additionally, Honda’s next possible launch in India could be the ZR-V Hybrid SUV, aligning with its global EV transition strategy.
