Maruti Suzuki is launching its first electric car, the Maruti Suzuki e VITARA, on September 3, 2025, this marks Suzuki’s bold entry into the EV market.

Maruti Suzuki is set to redefine India’s electric vehicle landscape with its latest offering—the Maruti Suzuki e VITARA. Scheduled to launch on September 3, 2025, the e VITARA marks the brand’s first full-electric SUV and will be manufactured exclusively in India at Maruti’s Gujarat facility. It will be exported to international markets including Japan, the UK, and Europe, showcasing India’s growing prominence in EV manufacturing.

Design & Styling

The Maruti Suzuki e VITARA combines tough SUV looks with sleek electric vehicle style. It has small size but a strong front grille. Body cladding gives it a robust appearance. The charging port is on the front left side. Rear door handles are mounted on the C-pillar. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes on all four corners.

Interior & Features

The e VITARA is built for city driving with a stylish dual-tone Brown and Black cabin. It features soft-touch plastics and leatherette seats that feel comfortable. The car comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen loaded with smart tech. Its digital instrument cluster measures 10.25 inches for easy reading.

Front seats are ventilated, and the driver’s seat can be adjusted with power controls. The fixed glass roof adds a open feel inside, while wireless charging offers convenience. A 360-degree camera helps with parking and maneuvering. Safety is enhanced with Level-2 ADAS, offering advanced driver assistance.

Maruti Suzuki e VITARA: Performance & Range

The vehicle is available in two versions: a basic model with a 49 kWh battery and a higher-end model with a 61 kWh battery. The WLTP range differs between them, with the smaller battery reaching up to 346 kilometers and the larger one providing a total range of 428 kilometers.

The 49 kWh version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds, while the 61 kWh takes just 8.7 seconds. Both models have a top speed of 150 km/h. Power output is strong in both, with the smaller battery producing 142 bhp and the larger one 172 bhp. Torque remains steady at 192.5 Nm across both versions.
