Mercedes G 580 Exterior Design

The Mercedes-Benz G 580 electric G-Class retains the classic boxy silhouette of the G-Class, specifically resembling the G 450d. To enhance aerodynamics, it features a partially raised hood with air curtains, a new A-pillar design, a front roof spoiler, and air curtains in the rear wheel-arch flares. The LED lights outlining the nose give the EQG a distinct look, and the drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.44, compared to the G 450d’s 0.48Cd.

Mercedes-Benz G 580 Off-Road Capabilities

The G 580 keeps its front suspension independent but adds a rear rigid axle and virtual mechanical differential locks to enhance torque vectoring. It also brings in a low-range transmission and an off-road crawl function, allowing you to slow down to just 2kph. The water wading capacity is 850mm, 100mm more than the standard G-Class. The G 580’s standout feature is the G-Turn, allowing it to rotate 360 degrees on the spot, and the G-Steering feature, which reduces the turning circle by pivoting around an individual wheel.
