In 2024, Royal Enfield, the famous motorcycle maker, reached an impressive milestone by selling more than 850,000 bikes, making it their most successful year in terms of sales. This accomplishment shows how well-loved the brand is and how its new bike models have grabbed the attention of motorcycle fans all around the globe.
Royal Enfield Record Sales in 2024
Royal Enfield entered 2025 on a high note, having sold a record 8,57,378 units in CY2024. This represents a 4 percent increase from the previous year (CY2023: 8,22,295 units) and surpasses the company’s previous best of 8,37,669 units in CY2018. The company’s 350cc models, which are the backbone of their sales, accounted for the majority of these numbers. In the April-November 2024 period alone, RE sold 5,25,568 units of their 350cc models, maintaining a dominant 94 percent share of the overall 5,57,549 motorcycles sold in this category.

Performance in Different Categories
In the 350-500cc category, RE combined sales of the 452cc Guerilla 450 and Himalayan adventure bike reached 27,420 units, marking a 6 percent year-on-year increase. However, Bajaj Auto led this category with 44,491 units sold, capturing a 51 percent market share. Despite this, RE robust performance in the 500-800cc category powered their overall numbers, with sales growing by 47 percent year-on-year to 33,152 units. The 650cc twins (Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650), Super Meteor 650, Bear 650, and Shotgun 650 collectively sold 31,977 units, achieving an impressive 46 percent year-on-year growth and securing a 96 percent market share in this segment.

Royal Enfield New Launches and Future Prospects
Royal Enfield’s success in 2024 can be attributed to its strategic introduction of new models that have resonated well with consumers. The company currently offers 13 models in the domestic market, including five 350cc models, the Scram 411 (soon to be replaced by the Scram 440), two 450cc models, and five 650cc models. The strong sales momentum is expected to continue into FY2025, with the company already dispatching 6,52,856 units in the first nine months of the fiscal year. With three months remaining, RE is on track to surpass its best-ever fiscal sales of 8,34,795 units in FY2024.
