Skoda Elroq Electric SUV Unveiled with Four Variants and Nine Striking Paint Options
Skoda has recently introduced its latest creation, the brand-new Elroq electric SUV, on a global scale. Although this electric SUV is now available in Europe, it’s also set to hit the Indian market. Positioned between Skoda’s flagship Enyaq iV and the upcoming Epiq compact EV slated for 2025, the Elroq marks the brand’s entrance into the midsize SUV electric vehicle segment. You can expect the Elroq to make its grand entry into India next year.
Skoda Elroq: Exterior Design
Let’s talk about the exterior of the Skoda Elroq. When you look at this electric SUV from the outside, you’ll notice it’s a fresh model but still carries the classic Skoda design features. One notable feature is the “Teck-deck Face.” Instead of the usual front grille, there’s a sleek black panel that hides sensors like radar and a front camera. Plus, it comes with LED daytime running lights that give it a distinct “four-eyes” look.

Moreover, the divided LED headlights positioned at the center of the bumper give off a sporty vibe. Standard LED headlights come with the vehicle, but you can opt for upgraded LED Matrix headlights in the top-tier models. The car also features a well-defined rear bumper with silver skid plates and a stylish air dam at the base, along with Skoda lettering on the tailgate.
The Elroq measures 4,488 mm in length, 1,884 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a long wheelbase of 2,765 mm. It weighs 1,949 kg and comes in nine different paint colors, including the new Timiano Green. The wheels range from 19 to 21 inches with aerodynamic designs. Skoda says the smooth surfaces of the Elroq give it a low drag coefficient of 0.26.

Skoda Elroq: Interior and Features
In the cabin, you’ll find a 13-inch central screen for entertainment and a row of physical buttons. Plus, there’s a small digital display for the driver and a cool augmented reality head-up display. Skoda even added an AI chatbot powered by ChatGPT to their Laura voice assistant. And if you need space, the Elroq offers 48 liters of storage inside, along with handy ‘Simply Clever’ features like umbrella holders in the doors, a spot for coins, and a net to keep your charging cable neatly stored under the tray.

This SUV comes with some neat features like remote parking using the MySkoda App and remote charging. Plus, it has a large 470-liter trunk, which can expand to 1,580 liters when you fold down the back seats. Another cool thing about the Elroq is that it uses eco-friendly materials for many interior parts – the seats are crafted from recycled PET bottles, nylon is made from fishing nets, and even recycled polyester is used.
