Skoda Kushaq Facelift Unveiled in India

Skoda India unveiled the refreshed Skoda Kushaq Facelift with bold styling, panoramic sunroof, rear massager, new 8-speed AT & enhanced tech.

The all-new Skoda Kushaq facelift has been officially unveiled in India, marking the compact SUV’s first major update since its introduction in 2021. Skoda India has opened pre-bookings ahead of a full launch and price reveal.

From the exterior, the facelifted Kushaq sports a sharper and more modern look. The front end wears sleeker LED headlights with distinctive DRLs and a refreshed bumper design. New alloy wheel designs add to the visual uplift, while the rear end gains a connected LED light bar and illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering, lending a contemporary stance. Skoda has also introduced three fresh paint options — Cherry Red, Shimla Green and Steel Grey.

Step inside and the Skoda Kushaq facelift reveals a noticeable upgrade in cabin quality and tech. Although the overall layout echoes the outgoing model, the facelift gains a large 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen running updated software. Dual-colour ambient lighting enhances the interior ambience, and the panoramic sunroof — a first for the Kushaq — brings in more light for a more open feel.

The refreshed SUV now offers a segment-first rear-seat massage function, adding a touch of luxury rarely seen in this class. Ventilated and powered front seats, leatherette upholstery, front parking sensors, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control and a wireless charging pad are all on the equipment list. For added convenience, Skoda’s infotainment comes integrated with the Google Gemini AI assistant, enabling smart voice interactions and real-time information access.

Safety hasn’t been overlooked either. The facelifted Kushaq continues with a comprehensive suite of safety tech, retaining its strong crash protection credentials and offering features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts and traction control.

Under the bonnet, the Skoda Kushaq facelift carries forward the proven turbo-petrol engines familiar to buyers. The 115hp 1.0-litre TSI unit now pairs with a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic, replacing the old 6-speed unit and enhancing both performance and efficiency in city and highway drives. A 6-speed manual gearbox remains on offer for the 1.0 TSI. The higher-powered 1.5-litre TSI engine continues with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and importantly, rear disc brakes are now standard on these variants.
