The Tata Nexon small  SUV earned high safety ratings, scoring 5 stars for protecting both adults and children.

The Tata Nexon, along with the Tata Curvv and the Curvv EV, have just been through safety evaluations by the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). This Indian subcompact SUV received an impressive five-star safety rating for both adult and child protection in both the petrol and diesel models. Back in May, the electric Nexon also scored an impressive 5-star safety rating.

The Tata Nexon model that underwent testing was the Fearless Diesel AMT version. Following the usual procedures of car safety assessments, adjustments are made for different models. Consequently, BNCAP has given the safety score to all the other variants as well.

The BNCAP test results show that the Nexon performed well in safety evaluations. The SUV scored 29.86 out of 32 for adult protection and 44.95 out of 49 for child protection. These scores indicate that the Tata Nexon excels in keeping both adults and children safe in various crash scenarios.

During the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it was found that the driver’s chest and legs receive ‘adequate’ protection. At the same time, the passenger’s legs also get adequate protection. While conducting the Side movable deformable barrier test, experts found that the driver’s chest receives ‘adequate’ protection. Additionally, in both tests, the driver and the co-passenger’s body parts are well-protected.
