Tata Nexon EV Promises an Impressive 489 km Range with New 45 kWh Battery
Tata Motors released the Nexon EV with a larger 45 kWh battery. You can get it for prices ranging from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Nexon EV 45 kWh lineup offers a range of options to fit your needs. You can get started with the Creative variant for Rs 13.99 lakh. If you want more features, the Fearless variant is available for Rs 14.99 lakh. For those looking for extra power, the Empowered variant is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh. And if you want all the bells and whistles, the top-of-the-line Empowered Plus variant is yours for Rs 16.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

Tata Nexon EV: Battery Pack, Range
Tata Motors decided to use the same LFP prismatic cells for the Nexon EV 45 kWh just like in the newly released Curvv EV. They mentioned that they made it more reliable by simplifying things, and cutting down the number of cell modules by 62%. Moreover, switching to prismatic cells boosted the density of the battery by 15% in size and 8% in energy capacity.
Tata Motors states that the Nexon EV, equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack, can provide you with a range of up to 489 kilometers on one full charge. This SUV is packed with V2L and V2V charging tech. With the V2L and V2V charging tech, your Nexon EV can juice up other gadgets and electric cars using its battery power. According to Tata Motors, the Nexon EV 45 can go from 10% to 80% charge in roughly 40 minutes when using a 60 kW fast charger.

Tata Nexon EV: Features
The Tata Nexon EV comes packed with great features. You’ll find a panoramic sunroof, an 11.6-liter frunk at the front, a large26.03 cm HD fully reconfigurable Instrument Cluster, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Air Purifier, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, Rear AC Vents, Cooled Glove box, 60:40 Rear Seats and Centre Armrest, a powerful 9-speaker JBL system, ventilated front seats, 16-inch black alloy wheels, and cruise control.
These include six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, stability control, electronic parking brake, Front Parking Sensor, Auto Hold, a 360-degree camera, Auto Headlamps, Auto-Dimming IRVM, Rain Sensing Wiper, All Disc Brakes and additional features to keep you safe while driving. Although the new 45kWh version of the car is slightly heavier, the company believes it will still maintain its 5-star BNCAP crash test certification, just like the 40.5kWh variant did.

Nexon EV Red Dark edition
The Tata Nexon EV Red Dark edition comes in only one Empowered+ 45 trim, priced at Rs 17.19 lakh – just Rs 20,000 more than the base trim. This special edition features glossy black paint with hints of red and sleek 16-inch wheels in glossy black. Inside, you’ll find notable upgrades like red upholstery on the seats, a stylish all-black dashboard with striking red stitching, and an exclusive Red Dark-themed interface for the infotainment system.
