Yamaha Motor India has taken a significant stride in its hybrid motorcycle journey by unveiling the Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid, an upgrade to its standard FZ-X lineup. Priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), this advanced variant builds on existing tech and styling while introducing smarter, eco-conscious features.

Engine and Hybrid Technology
This motorcycle boasts a robust 149 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine. With a bore and stroke of 57.3mm x 57.9mm, it’s designed for efficiency and smooth power delivery. The 9.6:1 compression ratio ensures optimal performance, pushing out a respectable 9.1 kW (12.4 PS) of maximum horsepower at 7,250 rpm.

It comes equipped with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System and a Stop & Start System, contributing to fuel efficiency and a quieter starting experience. Power assist is also included, making your rides even more effortless.

Starting up is a breeze with its electric starter, and the TCI (Transistor Controlled Ignition) system ensures reliable ignition every time. You’ll also appreciate the generous 13.3 N.m (1.4 kg f.m) of maximum torque at 5,500 rpm, providing ample pulling power for city commutes and open roads alike. Plus, it’s E20 Compatible, a nod to future-ready fuel options.

Tech Features and Connectivity
The console now features a modern 4.2-inch full-color TFT screen. It provides easy smartphone integration through the Yamaha Y-Connect app. Users can access turn-by-turn directions powered by Google Maps. The navigation system offers live route updates, including road names and intersection alerts, making travel smarter and safer.
Yamaha adds a new Matte Titan color with gold-finished alloy wheels to match its latest updates. The bike has a ground clearance of 165mm, making it suitable for varied terrains. Braking performance is excellent, with a 282mm disc brake at the front paired with ABS for better control. The rear brake is a 220mm disc, also combined with a Single Channel ABS system, ensuring smooth and powerful stops.
