The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is slightly less powerful than the Ninja 1000SX

Kawasaki has officially launched the Ninja 1100SX in India, priced at Rs 13.49 lakh. This new model succeeds the discontinued Ninja 1000SX, which was last produced in February 2024. The Ninja 1100SX comes in one standard version and features a bold color scheme of Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray and Metallic Diablo Black.

Bookings for the Ninja 1100SX are now available at authorized Kawasaki dealerships. A token amount of Rs 1 lakh is required. Deliveries are expected to start in January 2025.

Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX Design, Features

The design of the Ninja 1100SX closely follows that of the previous model, maintaining its sharp lines and full fairing. The dual LED headlights remain, and there are only minor updates since the last model was popular. New features include a C-type USB port on the handlebar and improved Bridgestone Battlax S23 tires.

Additional features consist of a 4.3-inch TFT display. The electronics package remains largely unchanged, providing riding modes, power modes, traction control, and cruise control. The Kawasaki bi-directional quickshifter has been improved for better performance at lower RPMs.

The cycle’s main components and hardware are similar to those of the Ninja 1000SX, with one difference: the rear disc brake is now 10mm larger. The front features Brembo Monobloc 4.32 calipers. The bike’s suspension includes adjustable 41 mm USD Showa forks in the front and an Ohlins S36 adjustable mono shock in the rear. Bike It rolls on 17-inch wheels wrapped in fresh Bridgestone Battlax S23 tires.

Under the hood, the Ninja 1100SX is equipped with a 1,099cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, producing 135 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm. While power has decreased slightly by 7 bhp compared to its predecessor, torque has increased from 111 Nm to 113 Nm. The gearing has also been adjusted, with taller 5th and 6th gears for better comfort on long trips and improved fuel efficiency.
