BMW M4 CS: Powertrain, Performance

The BMW M4 CS utilizes the familiar 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six engine in the standard M4. What sets it apart is that the engine has been fine-tuned to deliver 550hp, a 20hp increase compared to the M4 Competition. This boost in power is achieved by raising the turbo boost pressure from 1.7 bar to 2.1 bar. While the peak torque of 650Nm remains the same, it now kicks in from 2,750rpm to 5,950rpm, which is 220rpm higher than the M4 Competition model.

The BMW M4 CS can go from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.4 seconds, making it 0.1 seconds faster than the M4 Competition. The maximum speed is electronically capped at 303 kph. BMW also states that they have fine-tuned the engine for longer performance on the track.
