Yamaha MT-03 Updated Globally: Bold Styling, Modern LCD Cluster, and Fresh Colours Unveiled

Yamaha has given a refresh to the MT-03, a twin-cylinder naked sports bike, for the 2025 model year. The updates are minor, maintaining their mechanics. The 2025 Yamaha MT-03 might hit the Indian market in the upcoming year.

The bike hasn’t changed its mechanics, but it does have some tweaks in its looks. One significant update is the sleeker and edgier rear part, taken from its sportier counterpart, the Yamaha R3. Yet, the change that will probably catch more attention is the fresh Ice Storm color option, featuring a white body and blue wheels.

Yamaha MT-03: Features, Hardware

Yamaha has enhanced their lineup with new and exciting features. One cool update is the negative LCD instrument cluster on the R3. This feature now boasts Bluetooth connectivity, which helps you stay updated on calls, messages, and emails, plus offers turn-by-turn navigation to guide you while you’re out and about.

Yamaha has added a new feature for 2025 that you might find interesting. It’s called the slip-and-assist clutch. This feature is designed to help you pull the clutch more easily and allows you to downshift more aggressively, which can be really handy, especially when you’re on the race track.

The bike comes with 17-inch wheels. The front has 37 mm upside-down forks, and the rear has a monoshock. It has 130 mm suspension travel in the front and 125 mm at the rear. Braking is done by a 298 mm disc in the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. It also features a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. With a low seat height of 780mm, it’s easy to access.

Yamaha MT-03: Engine

The motorcycle still runs on a 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers 42 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 29.5 Nm at 9,000 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. Weighing just 167kg, this street bike has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.
