MG Windsor EV Unveils New Range Starting at Rs 14 Lakh, with BaaS Scheme Subscription Now at Rs 3.9 per Km

In January 2025, MG Motor India announced a price hike for its popular electric vehicle, the Windsor EV. This increase comes just four months after the vehicle’s initial launch in September 2024. The price hike affects all three variants of the Windsor EV: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence.

MG Windsor EV Price Increase Details

The ex-showroom prices for the Windsor EV have been increased by Rs 50,000 across all variants. Here are the updated prices. This price hike marks the end of the introductory rates that were initially offered at the time of the vehicle’s launch.

MG Windsor EV Battery and Range

The MG Windsor Ev runs on a 38kWh LFP battery made of prismatic cells that can go up to 331km on a single charge. Its motor in the front axle pumps out 136hp and 200Nm of torque. The Windsor comes with four driving modes: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport. MG says the Windsor supports fast charging at 45kW. With this, you can charge the batteries from 0 to 80 percent in just 55 minutes. Additionally, it will offer 3.3kW and 7.7kW AC chargers. These chargers can fully charge the battery in around 14 hours and 6.5 hours, respectively.

Charging Options

The Windsor EV offers multiple charging options. With a 45kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 55 minutes. For a full charge, it takes 6.5 hours with a 7.4kW charger and 13.8 hours with a 3.3kW charger.

Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Pricing

MG Motor India also offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option for the Windsor EV. Under this scheme, the per kilometer cost has increased to Rs 3.9, while the ex-showroom prices remain unchanged. Here are the updated BaaS prices:
