The Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 witnessed the grand unveiling of the Ferrato Defy 22, an electric scooter that promises to redefine urban commuting. Priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom), this innovative two-wheeler by OPG Mobility is set to make waves in the electric vehicle market.

Ferrato Defy 22 Design and Features

Aesthetically, the Ferrato Defy 22 stands out with its sleek design and 12-inch alloy wheels. The scooter features a 7-inch touchscreen speedometer integrated with a music feature, adding a touch of modernity and convenience. Riders can choose from three riding modes—Eco, City, and Sports—catering to various needs and preferences.

The dual footboard level enhances rider comfort and posture, making it suitable for a diverse range of users, from students to professionals and families. The Ferrato Defy 22 is available in seven dual-tone color options: Champagne Cream, Black Fire, Coastal Ivory, Unity White, Resilience Black, Dove Grey, and Matte Green.

Safety is a top priority for the Ferrato Defy 22. The scooter is equipped with a combi disc brake system, featuring a 220 mm disc at the front and a 180 mm disc at the rear. This ensures reliable braking performance in various conditions. Additionally, the Defy 22 offers a remote key feature, allowing users to lock and unlock the scooter from a distance. The spacious 25-litre boot provides ample storage for daily essentials.

Ferrato Defy 22 Performance and Battery

The Ferrato Defy 22 is powered by a robust 1200W motor, capable of delivering a peak output of 2500W. This electric scooter boasts a top speed of 70 kmph, making it a swift and efficient option for city travel. The heart of the Defy 22 is its 72V 30Ah (2.2 kWh) Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is both IP67-rated for durability and paired with an IP65-rated weatherproof charger. With an ICAT-verified range of 80 km on a single charge.

OPG Mobility is not stopping at the Defy 22. The company is working on an upcoming family-segment product lineup of scooters, internally called the Z-series, expected to launch by May 2025. Additionally, OPG Mobility plans to introduce two e-motorcycles under the Ferrato brand, targeting the mass market commuter segment. These motorcycles are anticipated to feature an LFP-based 3 kWh battery pack and are expected to be priced around the Rs 1 lakh mark.
