Honda City Price Hike: Buyers to Pay Up to Rs 20,000 More
In a recent development, Japanese automaker Honda has announced a price hike for its popular sedan, the Honda City, in India. The price increase, which is up to Rs. 20,000, is applicable to select variants of the model and is effective immediately.
The revised prices for the Honda City now range from Rs. 11.82 lakh to Rs. 16.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The price hike affects the following variants: SV MT, V MT, VX MT, VX CVT, ZX MT, and ZX CVT. However, it is important to note that this price increase does not apply to the hybrid (e:HEV) versions of the Honda City.

Honda City Features and Specifications
The Honda City is powered by a 1.5-litre iVTEC petrol engine, which is paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. The engine delivers 119 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque at its peak performance. The manual transmission variant offers a mileage of 17.8 kmpl, while the CVT variant provides a mileage of 18.4 kmpl.

The affected variants come equipped with a host of features, including an 8-inch touchscreen display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sound system with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, steering-mounted controls, push-button start/stop, keyless entry, sunroof, fully automatic climate control, telescopic and tilt steering wheel, ambient lighting, and a wireless charger.

Honda City Safety Features
Honda has also ensured that the City is loaded with safety features to provide a secure driving experience. The car comes with a suite of ADAS features called Honda Sensing, which includes six airbags, a lane watch camera, rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, traction control, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, emergency stop signal, tire pressure monitoring system, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear windshield demister.
