TVS X Electric Scooter Promises an Impressive 130 km Range on a Single Charge
The electric vehicle (EV) revolution in India has taken a significant leap forward with the commencement of deliveries for the highly anticipated TVS X electric scooter. Launched in August 2023, the TVS X is TVS Motor Company’s flagship electric scooter, and its deliveries finally began in December 2024.
The deliveries of the TVS X electric scooter kicked off in Bengaluru, India’s tech hub and a city known for its early adoption of sustainable mobility solutions. TVS Motor Company has outlined a strategic phased rollout plan, with the scooter set to expand to four additional cities in the first quarter of 2025. Two of these cities will be located in northern India, while the other two will be in the southern region. This approach allows the company to efficiently manage demand, ensure quality service, and provide a seamless delivery experience for customers.

The design of the TVS X is striking and captures attention, influenced by the TVS Creon concept shown at the 2018 Auto Expo. It showcases a bold Maxi-style appearance that conveys energy and strength. Key design features include:

Eye-Catching Details: The shaped body, sharp contours, and large side panels enhance its sporty, premium feel. Electric Features: Blue highlights throughout the scooter emphasize its electric identity, while the black 12-inch alloy wheels add elegance. Functional Elements: The TVS X offers split seats for greater comfort, a rear tyre hugger for added protection, and a sleek design that balances style with practicality.

TVS X Electric Scooter Performance and Battery
At the heart of the TVS X Electric Scooter lies a robust 4.44 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that delivers a peak output of 15 PS (11 kW) and 40 Nm of torque. This powertrain enables the scooter to achieve a top speed of 105 kmph, making it one of the fastest electric scooters in its segment. The TVS X also boasts impressive acceleration, going from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds, ensuring a thrilling ride in urban environments.
While TVS has not officially disclosed the exact range, industry estimates suggest that the scooter can cover approximately 130 km on a single charge. This makes it an ideal choice for daily commuters who need a reliable and efficient mode of transportation.

TVS X Charging Options
Understanding the diverse needs of its customers, TVS has equipped the X electric scooter with multiple charging options. 3 kWh Fast Charger: This charger can replenish the battery from 0 to 50 percent in just 1 hour, making it perfect for quick top-ups during the day.
950W Portable Charger: For those who prefer charging at home or on the go, the portable charger takes 3 hours and 40 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent. Priced at Rs 16,275 (including GST), this charger offers added convenience for users.
