Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid Costs Rs 10,000 More Than Standard Model
Yamaha India has recently unveiled the FZ-S Fi Hybrid in India, priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). This groundbreaking motorcycle marks Yamaha’s first venture into hybrid technology within the Indian market, a feature previously seen in Yamaha’s scooters like the Ray and Fascino. The FZ-S Fi Hybrid is available in two striking color options: Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.

Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid Design and Features
In terms of ergonomics, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid boasts several improvements aimed at enhancing rider comfort. The handlebar position has been slightly adjusted to provide a more comfortable riding posture. Additionally, the switches, including the horn, have been repositioned for easier accessibility. The fuel tank now features a new cap that remains attached during refueling, adding convenience to the overall riding experience.

One of the standout features of the FZ-S Fi Hybrid is its integration of Yamaha’s ‘Smart Motor Generator’ system. This innovative technology provides an additional boost to the motorcycle by incorporating an integrated starter generator (ISG). The ISG not only enhances the motorcycle’s performance but also contributes to fuel efficiency.

Another notable feature is the stop-and-start system (SSS), which automatically turns off the engine when the motorcycle is stationary and allows for quick restarting by pressing the clutch. This system is designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, making the FZ-S Fi Hybrid an eco-friendly option for riders.

A significant upgrade in the Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid is the introduction of a new 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster. This advanced display not only provides essential riding information but also connects to the rider’s smartphone through the Y-Connect app. The instrument cluster includes turn-by-turn (TBT) navigation linked to Google Maps, ensuring that riders can navigate with ease and confidence.

Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid Engine and Performance
The Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid continues to be powered by a 149 cc engine that is compliant with the latest OBD-2B standards. The engine produces a power output of 12.3 bhp and 13.3 Nm of torque, ensuring a robust and smooth riding experience. The hybrid technology, combined with the conventional engine, promises to deliver a seamless and efficient performance on various terrains.
