Performance & Mechanical Upgrades
Volkswagen has not revealed all the details yet, but they confirmed the test vehicle includes an optional Performance Package. This package adds lighter 19-inch forged Warmenau wheels, semi-slick Bridgestone Potenza Race tires, and a revised suspension. It alsofeatures adjustments to the chassis for better handling.
The GTI Edition 50 is powered by the familiar 2.0-litre EA888 turbo-petrol engine, expected to push out 324hp, nearly 60hp more than the standard GTI model. It comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a mechanical limited-slip differential, optimizing traction and agility.
