Tata Harrier EV Scores 5 Stars in Bharat NCAP Rating: Highest Safety Rating for Adults and Children Yet from Tata.

Tata Motors has once again demonstrated its commitment to road safety and innovation by achieving a 5-star Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) rating for its latest electric SUV, the Tata Harrier EV. The Tata Harrier EV scored 32/32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45/49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP), becoming only the second vehicle in India to achieve a perfect score in AOP under BNCAP. Its closest competitor, the Mahindra XEV 9e, shares similar scores, intensifying the competition in the premium EV SUV segment.

The Harrier EV also stood out in child safety tests, thanks to rearward-facing child seat installations secured with ISOFIX and a support leg. Although it lacks an integrated child restraint system, the vehicle still earned full marks in dynamic and CRS installation tests.

In crash tests, both driver and passenger dummies showed ‘good’ protection for all critical body regions—an impressive feat that underlines Tata’s engineering prowess.
