2027 Hyundai Creta Hybrid Confirmed: Third-Gen SUV Goes Green for India’s Eco-Conscious Drivers.
Hyundai Motor India is gearing up to reshape the mid-size SUV market yet again, this time with an eco-friendly twist. The company has officially announced that the third-generation Hyundai Creta, codenamed SX3, will feature a petrol-hybrid powertrain, slated for launch in 2027. This move marks Hyundai’s strategic response to growing regulatory pressures and consumer demand for greener mobility in India.

The new Creta will come with four different engine choices. There will be a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol that uses direct injection and produces 160 horsepower. A 1.5-litre diesel engine offering 116 horsepower will also be available. The most unique option is a 1.5-litre petrol hybrid, which stands out from the rest.
The highlight, of course, is the petrol-hybrid powertrain — a strategic move to cater to India’s rising demand for fuel-efficient yet eco-conscious vehicles. This could position the Creta as a compelling alternative to other hybrids and premium SUVs.
