Mahindra & Mahindra has rolled out a significant upgrade to its electric SUV lineup with the introduction of a larger 79 kWh battery pack for the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 Pack 2 variants. This move caters to growing consumer demands for longer range and enhanced performance, marking another step forward in India’s electric mobility evolution.

Previously offered with a 59 kWh battery pack, both the BE 6 and XEV 9e Pack 2 can now be configured with a robust 79 kWh power unit. Here’s what it means for buyers:

DC fast charging can reach up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to go from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. The vehicle offers different driving modes like Range, Everyday, Race, Boost, and One-Pedal Drive. These modes add to its versatility and make driving more fun. Both models produce 380 Nm of torque, no matter their battery size. This means fast, strong acceleration and smooth handling for all versions.

Both SUVs are built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, promising future-ready architecture and scalable innovation. They share the same powertrain configuration and currently offer rear-wheel drive.Mahindra has confirmed that deliveries for the upgraded Pack 2 variants will begin by end of July 2025, just in time for the festive buying season.
