VinFast India opens bookings for VinFast VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India. Launch begins August 2025 with feature-packed, locally-assembled EVs.
Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast Auto India has officially opened bookings for its upcoming electric SUVs—VF6 and VF7—marking a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion into the Indian market. The booking process, available both online and offline, requires a token amount of Rs 21,000, positioning VinFast as a promising new entrant in India’s thriving EV landscape.
VinFast plans to introduce the VF7 in August 2025, followed by the smaller VF6 SUV. Both vehicles will be assembled locally at the company’s plant in Tamil Nadu. This move shows VinFast’s dedication to the ‘Make in India’ goal.

VinFast VF7
The VinFast VF7 is set to be the main model for the brand in India. It comes fully equipped in the Plus trim, blending bold looks with strong tech features. The vehicle offers two powertrain choices. The front-wheel drive version produces 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque.
The all-wheel drive version delivers 350 horsepower and 500 Nm. Its 70.8kWh LFP battery supports both AC (7.2kW) and DC (CCS2) fast charging. The WLTP range is approximately 450 km for the FWD model and around 431 km for the AWD version.

Highlights include signature ‘V Face’ DRLs and LED headlights for a striking look. The 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system offers easy control. A wireless charger keeps your devices ready. Rear seats recline for comfort, and Level 2 ADAS adds extra safety.
The car has seven airbags and a heads-up display to keep you informed. It features India-specific 19-inch alloy wheels and a large 537-liter boot. Available colors are Neptune Grey, Crimson Red, Jet Black, and Brahminy White.

VinFast VF6
The VF6 sits just below the VF7 in the lineup and enters the popular midsize SUV market. It offers strong specs and compact size suited for city driving. Its key details include a 204-horsepower front-wheel drive system. The battery capacity is 59.6kWh, with fast charging support. The vehicle can travel about 480 kilometers on a full charge, according to WLTP estimates.
The VinFast VF6 features a glass roof and a central touchscreen for infotainment. Its split headlamp design gives it a modern look. The vehicle includes an ADAS safety suite for added security. It has a ground clearance of 190mm, tailored for India. The car rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and offers a boot space of 423 liters. Color options include Brahminy White, Crimson Red, Jet Black, and Neptune Grey.

VinFast’s Expanding Footprint in India
To support these launches, VinFast has partnered with 13 dealer groups, targeting 32 outlets across 27 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The company also aims to leverage its parent group Vingroup’s expertise to bolster service centers and charging infrastructure nationwide.
