Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially marked the 40th anniversary of its legendary Suzuki GSX-R series, a line that reshaped the global supersport motorcycle landscape since the debut of the GSX-R750 in 1985. Known for its high-performance engineering and race-derived DNA, the GSX-R series remains one of the most iconic names in motorcycling.
To commemorate this milestone, Suzuki has launched a dedicated GSX-R 40th Anniversary Website featuring behind-the-scenes interviews with engineers, exclusive archival content, and details on upcoming celebratory events.

1985: Birth of a Champion The first-generation GSX-R750 featured Suzuki’s revolutionary oil-cooled engine, delivering 77 PS with a dry weight of just 179 kg—a design inspired by endurance racing, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which the model won in its debut year.
