Skoda India has opened bookings for the new Octavia RS with a hefty token of ₹2.50 lakh — and all 100 units allocated for the country have already been booked ahead of the official price reveal scheduled for October 17. The India-bound Skoda Octavia RS arrives as a fully imported model and is expected to carry a premium price tag in the region of ₹50–55 lakh (ex-showroom). Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine tuned to 265hp and 370Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox driving the front wheels. Skoda claims a 0–100kph time of 6.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kph, marking this as the most powerful Octavia RS offered for India to date. A sports exhaust is included as standard to match the performance credentials.
